Excellence in advocacy

David Shulman BA(Hons), MA, LLB is a criminal defence lawyer practicing in Toronto, Ontario. He is diligent, skilled and compassionate, with experience defending both routine and complex criminal matters, including charges of impaired driving, fraud, drug trafficking, domestic assault and homicide. David also represents individuals and corporations facing provincial and federal regulatory charges. He handles both trials and appeals, and has worked on matters at all levels of court, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada.

David is driven to achieve the best possible outcome in every case. From the first phone call to the last court appearance, clients deal personally with David, not an associate or assistant.

David is a member of The Law Society of Ontario, the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and Legal Aid Ontario's "Extremely Serious Criminal Matters" panel. His articles have been published in the Criminal Lawyers Association magazine, For The Defence, as well as in The Champion, a United States publication by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

David has worked as counsel on a number of high-profile cases, including the Nortel Fraud Trial and the Eric Morgan murder case, featured on CBC's The Fifth Estate, the Toronto Star, the Toronto Sun, and G98.7 FM.

When David is not working, he enjoys travel, exercise, reading, board games, and volunteering for the Ontario Justice Education Network.
